Carmen Miranda was a fabulously talented movie star in the 1930's and forties. She was a samba singer and dancer. Carmen became famous for her elaborate headdresses. It is a challenge to imagine costumes more elaborate than the ones she actually wore!
The piece is hand embroidered cotton with beading on a cotton ground. The frame is mosaic on a wood support. 11"h x 5"w x 1.5"d
